Good Morning,
The past week brought an early glimpse of an expected very snow-covered Christmas. The beautiful snow fall worked its way right into the Arts on Grand Festival of Trees held Friday evening in the clubhouse. We hosted a little over 70 people for a catered meal, five piece band, and some beautiful holiday decor. It was a fun filled night and we were happy to be able to host this wonderful local fundraiser. Below are some of the pictures:

We spent quite a bit of the week in preparation for the Arts on Grand event. The majority of items were moved out of the clubhouse in order to do a detailed cleaning of the building. This also left quite a bit of additional space for the guests to enjoy the band. Volunteers decorated the building and set up the tables for the event.
I was able to spray a fungicide application on the greens Thursday afternoon. This application will help prevent the presence of “snow mold” fungicide once the snow starts to melt in the early spring. There is also a product included that helps the plant decrease water loss during the winter months. Lastly a green pigment was included to help follow the spray pattern.
This application has approximately 90 days of efficacy so I always try to get it applied as late as possible. I think this year I pushed it to the very last minute. I finished spraying at 3:15 in the afternoon and woke up to a winter wonderland on Friday!
The coming week I will continue to work on the reel sharpening. I received the remainder of necessary parts late this week. I hope to have the reel sharpening completed before the start of the holiday season.
I will also be completing the inventory of the maintenance facility as well as the clubhouse. I have been working on inventory off and on for the past week.
Our 2023/24 budget will also be completed in the next couple of weeks. This will be followed by the submittal of our Capital Improvement Plan. Both will be reviewed by city staff and introduced to the city council in January.
We still have a few weeks for our golfers to purchase 2023 season passes at the 2022 rate. The Golf Board has also set an April 15 timeline for our 2023 Virtual Season Pass Drive. All memberships or green fee punch card purchases prior to this date will enter you into a drawing for gift certificates at The Muni.

Please enjoy the remainder of your weekend. Contact me if you need to make arrangements to make a payment in the clubhouse. Our credit card option on our website is currently unavailable and we are working with the provider to correct the situation.
